At Humlehagen Kulturgård, visitors can enjoy a variety of farm experiences alongside the many animals, surrounded by a calm and rural setting. Meet the horse and the llama, alpacas, ducks, pigs and other animals, and experience the sense of ease that comes from a place shaped by nature and the rhythm of the seasons.

Humlehagen Kulturgård is a living cultural farm where nature, animals and cultural activities meet in an open and welcoming atmosphere. Guests are invited to take part in daily life on the farm, shared activities and social moments in a varied agricultural landscape.

The farm is home to ducks, peacocks, horses, alpacas and the miniature pigs Tuppen and Lillemor. Visitors can join animal-related activities, relax in the cosy Humlehagen garden and common areas, or make use of the farmyard and outdoor spaces. The farm also hosts small events and places strong emphasis on sustainability and animal welfare.

Accommodation

Overnight stays are available in Amtmannsstua, which offers four rooms, or in a separate house with three rooms. Both options provide simple and functional accommodation for families, small groups or solo travellers, and work well as a base for exploring Sømna and the Helgeland coast.

Humlehagen is open year-round, with activities that change with the seasons. Please get in touch for more details.

Thank you for respecting the local communities, and for helping us preserve the natural beauty of Helgeland!

Please:

  • Strive to leave no trace of your visit. Bring back all your rubbish, including used toilet paper, and discard it in the nearest rubbish bin.
  • Plan your toilet visits and use the opportunity when you pass a toilet. In the wilderness, make sure you are not a nuisance to others.
  • Respect the local wildlife. Keep a good distance from wildlife, livestock and birds. Keep your dog leashed.
  • Respect private property. Keep a respectful distance from houses and cabins.
  • Show good boating sense. Keep a good distance from shore and drive at a low speed, especially when you are close to anyone or anything on the water, including birds or animals. Avoid loud and disturbing engine noise. Be aware that some islands and nature reserves are important nesting sites, and that going ashore is prohibited during the nesting season.
  • Follow the Norwegian Mountain Code (Fjellvettreglene). Plan your excursion according to the weather forecast, your skills and experience.
  • Join a guided excursion or consider hiring an experienced guide, especially when you don’t have sufficient experience or knowledge to guarantee a safe trip.
