An Arctic dining experience shaped by flavours from the sea, the land and the surrounding landscape.

Welcome to an Arctic dining experience featuring a tasting menu built on the best seasonal ingredients. At Barthbryggo, guests enjoy fine dining the Northern Norwegian way—grounded and honest, with deep respect for the ingredients and the people who harvest them. The quality is high, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

The skilled chefs follow both fish and meat from fjord and mountain to pot and plate. Ingredients are sourced, refined and developed further by the chefs themselves. With care and attention, and paired with carefully selected wines, they bring everything together into a 10- or 12-course evening experience. The menu follows the seasons, ensuring the ingredients are always used at their best, and the kitchen dries, ferments and pickles in-house to enhance the overall experience. Flavours, stories and moments are given time to unfold—at a pace that lets guests stay present throughout.

Just across the yard is the wine cellar, shared by Barthbryggo and their wine bistro, Huset i Gato. The wine list offers both range and depth—from young, lively expressions to rare, aged bottles. Guests can choose from more than 570 labels, and the list has been awarded a White Star in Star Wine List. In 2026, it was nominated among the 50 best in “Norway’s Best Wine Lists”.
