“Brygga” is nicely located in quiet surroundings on the north-eastern side of Dønna, 7 km from the ferry terminal at Bjørn. The wharf consists of 5 apartments of 60 square meters each located right next to the sea. They also offera a conference room, boathouse, grill, hot tub and a cabin (Rorbu).

If you come by bicycle, Brygga is the perfect place to stay if you step on the road between Herøy and Dønna. From here you shorten the distance by a mile compared to accommodation further north on the island.

The complex consists of a main building with five apartments, each 50–60 m2. In addition, it has a boathouse, boat rental, a barbecue hut, an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. A conference room is also available. The surrounding waters are great for kayaking. If you are exploring Helgeland on two wheels, Brygga is the perfect overnight choice between Herøy and Dønna. Moreover, by staying here you reduce your journey’s distance by 10 km or so compared to those who stay farther north on the island.

Whether you’re visiting during the summer or winter, you will appreciate a relaxing evening hour in the hot tub on the pier. With friends or family, you can also enjoy a good barbecue. A well-equipped kitchen is also available. Nothing is better than treating yourself, and everyone else, to freshly-caught fish!

If you prefer a break from kitchen duty, you can arrange delivery of catered food. Bring your family or friends, or a group of colleagues. Please contact us to discuss how Brygga on Dønna can make your stay memorable.

In the vicinity of Brygga there are several trails worth exploring. If you want bigger challenges, we recommend a hike to the top of Dønnamannen (858 m), which has a breathtaking view. And the Seven Sisters mountains are just a ferry ride and a short drive away.

The apartments offered have family bunk beds, so that 6 beds means 2 double rooms with a family bunk with a double bed downstairs and a single bed upstairs. You can fix the food you want in an available kitchen in your own apartment or share it with other single rooms. Should you want takeaway or catering, you can ask Brygga på Dønna who they recommend.

Winter temperatures vary from +5 to –15˚C (41˚ to 5˚F). We highly recommend woollen or thermal underwear, combined with windproof outer garments, and that you layer your clothing with an inner layer, a middle layer, and the windproof outer layer. Thick warm headwear and gloves or mittens are strongly recommended, especially if your chosen adventure has a lower level of activity, such as when you’re “hunting” for the Northern Lights.

Thank you for respecting the local communities, and for helping us preserve the natural beauty of Helgeland!

Please:
