Experience Brønnøysund from the saddle and get to know the iconic Torghatten mountain – the famous hole through the rock that has fascinated travellers for generations. This package combines town life, nature and activity in a way that offers a genuine introduction to the Helgeland coast.

With two nights in the centre of Brønnøysund, a flexible audio guide and a full day of bike rental included, there is both time and freedom to explore the area at your own pace. It is an experience that suits couples looking for an active weekend, as well as those travelling alone or with friends.

Brønnøysund is easy to enjoy. The town is surrounded by islands, straits and smooth coastal rock, combining a lively coastal setting with easy access to nature. The stay begins with check-in at Thon Hotel Brønnøysund, followed by the opportunity to get to know the town through an audio guide that takes you through thousands of years of coastal culture and history.

For many, the highlight is the day with a rental bike, where you set your own route and pace. A popular option is heading towards Torghatten – the well-known mountain formation with its distinctive hole running straight through it. The path to the top is clearly marked and manageable for most visitors. At the top, there are views over the archipelago, straits and small islands.

The rest of the stay leaves plenty of time to explore Brønnøysund and the surrounding area. Whether visiting Hildur’s Herb Garden, learning more about aquaculture, joining a RIB tour or simply walking along the waterfront promenade, there are many options just outside the door.

Thank you for respecting the local communities, and for helping us preserve the natural beauty of Helgeland!

Please:

  • Strive to leave no trace of your visit. Bring back all your rubbish, including used toilet paper, and discard it in the nearest rubbish bin.

  • Follow the Norwegian Mountain Code (Fjellvettreglene). Plan your excursion according to the weather forecast, your skills and experience.
  • Join a guided excursion or consider hiring an experienced guide, especially when you don’t have sufficient experience or knowledge to guarantee a safe trip.
