In a charming wooden house from 1852, on Sjøgata street in the historic heart of Mosjøen, you will find Galleri Stokland. On display are colourful artworks, knitwear, glass and ceramics by creative local craftsmen and artists.

Whether you prefer something colourful and bright, or calm and in subdued hues, in Kirsti Stokland’s gallery you are sure to see works that you like. Kirsti’s own graphics, signed and numbered, are available framed and unframed. In the gallery you will see works on canvas, and others that make use of materials as varied as aluminium, glass and even Rockwool. There is also a large selection of art cards. The gallerist will gladly wrap the item you choose, so you can safely take it with you.

The beautiful coat of arms of Vefsn Municipality – a proud rooster – decorates some of the caps, headbands and socks for sale. Also popular are the Nordland bunad, the local variant of Norway’s national costume, especially the knitted ones for children. You will also find a good selection of designer dresses, jackets, wrist warmers and shawls.

Many artists and craftsmen under one roof

In addition to artworks by Kirsti Stokland herself, the gallery offers works by many different artists and artisans, for example Torbjørg and Lidvor’s selection of tablecloths, textile images, knitwear, toiletry bags, purses, bags and small backpacks. And there is so much more!

The glassblower Julian Finne, a native of Mosjøen, has a permanent exhibition of beautiful vases and other glass objects at the gallery.

Ceramics by Wenche include amusing mugs, angels, hearts, welcome signs and ornaments.

Feel free to browse and take your time. Welcome!
