Experience three rewarding days among the beautiful islands of Helgeland. This package combines a spectacular hike to Dønnamannen, peaceful evenings by the sea, and a guided kayaking tour in the scenic Herøysundet – the perfect blend of mountain adventure and coastal tranquillity.

This three‑day package brings together some of Helgeland’s finest nature experiences. The stay begins at Brygga på Dønna, a cosy seaside accommodation where guests can prepare their own dinner, make use of the outdoor grills, or warm up in the sauna before a refreshing dip in the sea.

A key highlight is the hike to Dønnamannen, a demanding but deeply rewarding mountain trip. From the 858‑metre summit, hikers are treated to wide views over the island landscape and the characteristic peaks of Helgeland. After an active day outdoors, guests enjoy a three‑course dinner at 3 Kalver, known for its use of local ingredients.

The journey continues to Herøy, where a guide from Herøy Kajakk & Sykkel leads a beginner‑friendly kayaking tour in the calm and picturesque waters of Herøysundet. After the paddle, there is time to explore the island’s eateries or visit the colourful garden experience at Etcetera Botaniske Utskeielser before travelling onward by ferry to Søvik.

This package is ideal for travellers who want to experience both mountains and coast – all within the unique rhythm and landscape of Helgeland.

This trip starts at “Brygga på Dønna”, located on the south‑eastern side of the island of Dønna, roughly in the middle of the Helgeland coast. Dønna is reached by a short ferry crossing from Sandnessjøen.
