Skillevollen Alpine Center is part of a larger winter activity center in Mo i Rana. Take the family skiing on the alpine slopes, the cross-country trail or on the ice rink in winter.

Skillevollen Alpine Center is located just outside the center of Mo i Rana, in a beautiful snowy area with good conditions for skiing and snowboarding. The center boasts four slopes, including a special children’s slope that is perfect for younger skiers. Mo i Rana has a vibrant alpine and snowboarding culture, and the resort has a snowboard park built every winter on one of the hills, complete with rails and jumps.

Please note that lift tickets for Skillevollen Alpine Center cannot be purchased on-site. To ensure a seamless experience, we recommend buying your lift ticket online before your visit.

Equipment and eating options

You can hire equipment for skiing and snowboarding at the alpine center. During the winter season, you can also buy food and drink at the café located right next to the ski resort

Skillevollen Idrettspark offers more than just skiing and snowboarding. In addition to its four slopes, the park features a variety of winter activities, including lighted trails for cross-country skiing, hiking trails, and an ice rink for ice-skating. The park also boasts a biathlon arena built to international standards, perfect for those who enjoy the combination of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.

  • Show good boating sense. Keep a good distance from shore and drive at a low speed, especially when you are close to anyone or anything on the water, including birds or animals. Avoid loud and disturbing engine noise. Be aware that some islands and nature reserves are important nesting sites, and that going ashore is prohibited during the nesting season.
  • Follow the Norwegian Mountain Code (Fjellvettreglene). Plan your excursion according to the weather forecast, your skills and experience.
  • Join a guided excursion or consider hiring an experienced guide, especially when you don’t have sufficient experience or knowledge to guarantee a safe trip.
