Sandnessjøen camping is located at Steiro along the Rv 17, 10 kilometers south of Sandnessjøen. Sandnessjøen Camping is just a short walk from the mountains De Syv Søstre and the local airport.

The camping site has nice seaside rocks for swimming and fishing. We offer a relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular view to both the sea and the mountains. We have cabins with several bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, as well as cabins without shower and toilet.

The camping site is a perfect place to start hiking on the mountain range – De Syv Søstre (The seven sisters) and many other activities on the spectacular coast of Helgeland.

If you come with a camper van or caravan, you can choose a parking space by the rocks with sea views. If you want a more sheltered storage space for a tent, motorhome or caravan, it is also available here. As a guest, you get access to communal sanitary buildings and kitchen facilities, power options and a caravan toilet emptying station.

In the cabins you can spend the night with your own kitchen and bathroom, or without a shower and toilet where you can use the common areas. Here are cabins with several bedrooms for you who are several on a trip together.

Welcome to Sandnessjøen

The town of Sandnessjøen is situated roughly at the geographic centre of the magnificent Helgeland coast. It sits midway between mighty mountains and beautiful islands. Here you are near the Seven Sisters mountain range, the kayaking paradise of Herøy, the recreated Viking chieftain seat Sandnes, the museum that celebrates the 17th-century poet-priest Petter Dass, and the island of Dønna which is wonderful to explore on two wheels.
