Huset i Gato is a modern gathering place where wine, food, and a sense of connection come together in a warm and lively atmosphere. The idea is to create a home away from home – a place where guests feel welcome, noticed, and inspired.

In the heart of beautiful Sjøgata in Mosjøen, overlooking the Vefsna river, you’ll find Huset i Gato – a welcoming wine bistro set in a restored wooden house from 1865. Here, history, passion and local flavours come together in a well-rounded food and wine experience.

Wine is at the centre of the concept. The charming wine cellar, visible through glass panels in the floor at the entrance, holds a broad, carefully selected range. In 2024, Huset i Gato was named a finalist for Best Newcomer in Star Wine List Norway.

The menu follows the seasons and is based on high-quality local ingredients. Guests can enjoy lunch, dinner, or simply a glass of wine in relaxed surroundings. In summer, the sheltered garden is open – a pleasant place to enjoy food and drink in historic surroundings.

Huset i Gato is more than a restaurant – it’s a place to meet, where personal service, quality and genuine engagement are central. The ambition is to create a culinary destination in Mosjøen, where guests meet the people behind the concept and leave with an experience defined by both flavour and character.
