Fishing opportunities are good, and the site is particularly well suited for fishing and outdoor enthusiasts who prefer peaceful surroundings without crowds.

On site, there is a well-prepared outdoor area with a lean-to shelter (gapahuk), a selection of walking trails, a fire pit, a simple playground, and a swimming area. Directly from the campsite, guests can rent a canoe or rowing boat and purchase fishing licences. The reception is located in a traditional storehouse and also includes a small farm shop. A sauna adds an extra touch after a day outdoors, whether spent hiking, fishing or simply enjoying nature.

Cabins and camping

Velfjord Camping og Hytter offers several accommodation options set in green, open surroundings:

  • One year-round log cabin, fully equipped and accommodating up to 6 people
  • A holiday house, fully equipped, accommodating up to 8 people
  • Two camping cabins, one with 2 beds and one with 4 beds. The cabins have their own fully equipped kitchen with hot water.
  • A small campsite with 10 pitches for motorhomes and caravans with electricity, and a tent area for approximately 5 tents, with a dedicated service building for camping guests and cabin users.
  • The service building includes showers, a bio-toilet, a common room, washing and drying facilities, and a kitchen. There is also a station for emptying toilet and grey water.

The cabins and campsite are set in a sheltered location, with good spacing and easy access to the surrounding nature. The accommodation is well suited for couples, families, and small groups looking for a calm and nature-based stay.

The camping cabins are available during the summer season, while the log cabin is available year-round. Spring and autumn are good periods for those seeking peace and quiet or wishing to take advantage of the excellent fishing opportunities during these seasons.
