Havkanten has hosts and a chef offering the delicacies of the sea in a season-based menu. A culinary three-course dinner is served, featuring fresh ingredients from the sea and local area.

Bring the entire family, friends, or colleagues on an adventure to a charming fishing village, surrounded by the raw, northern Norwegian nature. Havkanten Restaurant and Seaside House are idyllically located by the waterfront in the fishing village of Husvær, with the beautiful islands of Vega and Herøy as neighbors. Here you can wake up to the soothing sound of waves, the refreshing scent of the sea, and a marvelous panoramic view of the Helgeland coast, with its beautiful archipelago and stunning mountains.

Perfect for coastal experiences and activities

Husvær is excellently situated for those who want to experience the seaside attractions of Helgeland. Just a RIB ride away, you’ll find, among other things, the iconic mountains Torghatten, The Seven Sisters and Dønnamannen, and the Vega Archipelago, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

At Havkanten, they also cater to those who want an active holiday, with free diving, cycling, kayaking, and hiking in nature. And afterward, it’s lovely to relax in the hot tub or join a serene archipelago cruise.

The restaurant

In addition to being surrounded by stunning nature, Havkanten offers exciting, locally sourced food and culinary taste experiences. If you wish to participate in gathering the food yourself, you can join a boat trip and fish for your dinner, or join a guided free-diving tour, where you get to try your hand at collecting shellfish. And if you find it exciting, Havkanten has its own instructor who can teach you more about the treasures of the sea and how to harvest and use them.
