Brønnøysund is more than a beautiful coastal town – it’s a living map of history, with traces of people, trade, and life along the coast over 10,000 years. This audio guide lets you explore the town’s rich past and present at your own pace, right in the heart of a landscape scattered with thousands of islands, islets, and skerries.

Experience Brønnøysund through an atmospheric and informative audio story, available directly on your phone. The route takes you to ten key locations – from historic buildings and old cemeteries to modern landmarks and coastal scenery. You decide where to start, how long to stay at each stop, and in which order to explore.

Along the way, you’ll hear stories about:

  • Schrødertunet – a green oasis in the town
  • Brønnøy Church and the old post office
  • Folkeparken and the steel sails facing the sea
  • The old bridge and the town view
  • Seaweed, seafood, and coastal culture
  • The Brønnøysund Register Centre – from fishing village to digital hub

The audio guide is available in Norwegian, English, and German, and is well suited for both local and international visitors. No prior knowledge needed – just bring your phone, a pair of earphones, and the urge to explore.
