Stay in peaceful surroundings in a private cabin on Øksningsøya, just a short boat ride from Terråk.

Øksningsøya is a mid-sized island off the village of Terråk in Bindal, located at the southern end of the Helgeland coast where three fjords meet. The calm, sheltered waters and the island’s charming cultural landscape make it an ideal place to unwind. Spend your days hiking the small hilltops, paddling between quiet coves, or heading out in a motorboat for some fishing. You can also explore the waters by rowboat or kayak, and on request, it’s possible to join a sailing trip in a traditional Nordland boat.

The cabin is decorated in a cozy, rustic style with timber walls and a warm atmosphere. It’s easy to enjoy the classic cabin life here, whether you’re relaxing in the living room, soaking up the sun on the porch, or spending time down by the shore. Inside, you’ll find five beds across four bedrooms, along with a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a comfortable living area.

The cabin is self-catered, but there’s a high-speed boat connection to Terråk, where you’ll find a grocery store for any supplies you need.
