The apparel store Kråkeslottet in Hemnesberget is an attraction in itself. They offer handmade woollen garments of their own design that are produced right in the store. This includes beautiful wool coats, dresses, lovely items for babies and toddlers, and clothes that will keep you warm on your hikes and outdoor adventures.

When you visit Kråkeslottet (“the crow’s nest”), you will most likely be greeted by Anne-Lise. She is the one who designs and produces everything ranging from coats and hoodies, potholders and baby slippers. Kråkeslottet is the place to find that very special gift, or a fun souvenir or great item for yourself.

Most of the garments are made from high-quality alpaca wool, but you will also find linen dresses, and cotton hats and headbands for children. In addition to what is currently in the store, Anne-Lise will gladly sew a sew a garment to order, in the size and colours of your choice.

The Wilderness Sweater – for outdoor life in Helgeland

Two of Anne-Lises most popular items are her woollen mittens and onesies, which will keep babies or toddlers warm on cool summer nights and cold winter days. These are great gifts for your very youngest friends. Adults will want to look at her Wilderness Sweater, an attractive hoodie made of the same woollen fabric as she uses in the children’s garments.

The light woollen fabric and the spacious hoods make the Wilderness Sweater the perfect casual clothing for children as well as adults. On a cool summer evening you can use it as outerwear, while during the autumn or winter this sweater makes an ideal intermediate layer under your jacket or parka. There are excellent reasons why the Wilderness Sweater is a favourite with local kids, fishermen and outdoor adventurers.
