An indescribable island kingdom in the heart of the world’s most beautiful coastline. Here you’ll find calm channels, chalk-white beaches, and panoramic views of the Seven Sisters mountains. Perfect for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

Welcome to Husvær – a paradise for paddlers.

Out here in the Helgeland archipelago, you’ll find one of Norway’s most stunning paddling areas. The sheltered waters allow you to paddle safely between the islands while enjoying the birdlife, the calm sea, and the majestic mountains in the background. With a base at Havkanten Guesthouse, you’ll have access to kayaks, local food, and genuine coastal hospitality. A paddling experience you will never forget.

Open year round, but drop ins are only available in june/july.

Havkanten is located on Husvær in Herøy.
You can get there by taking the ferry to Brasøy from Søvik or the Herøy ferry quay. Havkanten has a guest pier for those arriving with their own boat.

For groups or by prior arrangement, we can organize RIB transport directly from Sandnessjøen, Herøy, or Vega – a spectacular journey through islets and skerries!
