Moheia Bad is a popular meeting place for people of all ages who want to swim, play, exercise, or simply relax. With four different pools, a water slide, saunas, and a café, everything is in place for an enjoyable experience – all year round.

The facility was completely renovated in 2025 and now offers clean, modern facilities, universal accessibility, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere – right in the center of Mo i Rana. Whether you’re visiting with the family for a weekend outing, looking for a relaxing swim after work, or planning a children’s birthday party, Moheia Bad is a place where everyone feels at home.

Swimming for everyone – all year

Moheia Bad features four different pools:

A warm-water pool at 33 °C, perfect for relaxation or rehabilitation

A 25-meter lap pool with a diving tower

A training pool with counter-current for technique and endurance practice

A shallow pool for the youngest visitors

In addition, you’ll find a timed water slide, a spacious sauna, a steam sauna, and seating areas around the pools. For many families, this is a natural weekend stop – a place for fun, activity, and spending time together.

Food, meetings, and birthdays

The café at Moheia Bad serves simple and popular dishes such as paninis, toast, sausages, and noodles – as well as coffee, ice cream, and soft drinks. Perfect for refueling after a swim.

The facility also has two meeting and event rooms suitable for birthdays, clubs, and small groups, with space for 14 and 28 people respectively.

Avoid loud and disturbing engine noise. Be aware that some islands and nature reserves are important nesting sites, and that going ashore is prohibited during the nesting season.
  • Follow the Norwegian Mountain Code (Fjellvettreglene). Plan your excursion according to the weather forecast, your skills and experience.
  • Join a guided excursion or consider hiring an experienced guide, especially when you don’t have sufficient experience or knowledge to guarantee a safe trip.
