Nestled between the sea and history, along the Coastal Route in Vevelstad, you’ll find Forvik old trading post — a living tribute to Northern Norwegian coastal culture and one of Helgeland’s most charming roadside stops. Here, you can visit the cosy café, shop, and coffee roastery in the old general store, and enjoy a moment of rich aromas and flavours in a truly historic setting.

At Forvik old trading post, it’s Hanne who runs the show — hand-roasting the coffee with care, precision, and deep respect for both the craft and the beans. Coffee lovers will notice the difference as soon as they walk in. This isn’t just a place to grab a cup — it’s a full coffee experience. Paired with the warm atmosphere of the old krambod and shelves filled with fine licorice and quality chocolate, it’s a perfect place to spend a relaxing morning.

You can also pick up bags of freshly roasted coffee, brewing equipment like grinders and pots, and even Forvik’s own coffee soap — so you can take a little piece of Handelsstedet with you on your journey.
