Hike description
Pilfjellet is a favourite hiking destination for locals in Trofors — with a beautiful trail that follows a mix of gravel road and well-used paths all the way to the top. At the summit, you’re rewarded with truly spectacular views: to the east, you can see Golvertind and Kvigtind in Børgefjell National Park; to the north, the peak of Brurskanken; to the south, the dramatic landscape of Lomsdal–Visten National Park; and to the west, the towering Visttindene peaks.
The view down toward Trofors and Almvatnet is also stunning, with rugged cliffs and black rock walls surrounding the lake.

You can also park at Grane Bygdetun and hike up via the lit ski trail, before joining the gravel road leading to Pilfjellet. This is a great option for those arriving in motorhomes. Pilfjellet is also a popular spot for enduro mountain biking.
