Bildet er tatt et godt stykke oppi Fykantrappa i Meløy, med utsikt over den bratte trappa nedover i landskapet Line Peggy Pedersen / Rallarbrakka

Fykantrappa is a wooden staircase over a hundred years old, built by “rallar” construction workers in 1916 during the construction of the Glomfjord power plant. The staircase was used as a hiking trail until 2020, but it is now closed as it is no longer considered safe to use.

Closed Indefinitely

In the summer of 2020, the staircase was closed indefinitely. We ask that visitors respect this closure, both for their own safety and that of others, as well as to preserve Fykantrappa as a cultural heritage site.

If you still want to make a detour just to see the staircase, you can find it between the Fykantunnel and Svartistunnel in Glomfjord. Click here for directions in Google Maps.
