The illuminated ski trail in Tovåsen is approximately 3.6 kilometers long, consisting of a loop of around 1 kilometer and a longer section extending southward along the hillside. The terrain is relatively flat and easy, making it a great trail for those who just want to take a leisurely stroll with the kids or for recreational skiers looking to do multiple laps without too many uphill or downhill sections.
Heading north from the parking area, there’s a fantastic hiking trail into Randalen, along the Ranelva river. It follows the river for about 4.5 kilometers up the valley, through gentle and easily accessible forest terrain, and makes a loop around Hubåsen at the end of the trail before following the same track back.
