Hike description
From Trofors, drive south along Vestersivegen and follow the signs towards Stavvassdalen. In the summer, park at the designated spot right next to the gravel road, where there is an information board about the hike.
From here, follow a well-trodden path to Langvatnet, which takes only ten minutes and is easy to walk. Continue along the path by the lake around a point where you will see a lean-to shelter and a campfire site.
This is a popular swimming spot in the summer, and many people also fish here. It’s a fantastic short hike for those who want to stretch their legs or for families with children. In winter, you must park where the road to Stavassdalen branches off from Vestersiveien, and it takes about an hour to ski to the campfire site from there.
Sometimes ski tracks are made, but not always.
