Jul på Berget

Christmas market in HemnesbergetNovember 2026In November, it’s once again time for cozy pre-Christmas magic at Jul på Berget. Here you can soak up the authentic local Christmas atmosphere through food, music, and togetherness – and maybe even take care of those last Christmas gifts while you’re at it! In the charming fjord village of Hemnesberget, you’ll find a lovely mix of food and music, crafts and art. Market stalls, old boathouses, and sheds are filled with treats like freshly made doughnuts, lefse, “vaffel på pinne,” gravlax, and traditional Christmas baking. Local farms offer meat and leather products, you can enjoy Waffles and Vinyl at Jernvaren, and several cafés serve coffee, food, and homemade cookies. If you’re looking for something to put under the tree, you’ll find plenty of beautiful handcrafted items such as woodwork, Christmas gnomes and figurines, ceramics, and Sámi handicrafts. And you can pick up gifts that keep you warm, including clothing and wool products – for example at the cozy local wool design shop, Kråkeslottet. As tradition calls for, children and adults can enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh or meet Nils-Rudolf the reindeer. And who knows – maybe Santa will show up too? You can find more information about Jul på Berget on Facebook Read More
