The islands in the area are close together, and if you prefer, you can always paddle near the shore, making the area suitable for all skill levels. The route starts and ends at Støtt – Top of Helgeland, where floating docks provide sheltered conditions for launching kayaks away from wind and waves. Please be aware that the route begins in a narrow strait, where there may be some boat traffic.

On this route, you’ll have the opportunity to experience beautiful Støttvær from all angles as you paddle between small islets and narrow channels. Along the way, you’ll pass several lovely beaches that make for perfect stopping points. Note that many of the islands you pass have landing restrictions, as Støttvær is a nature reserve.
