Hotel Svartisen is a two-story apartment hotel located in the center of Mo i Rana, right next to the train station. From here, it’s a short walk to everything the city has to offer, including parks, shops, restaurants, cafés, exhibitions, and experiences.

The hotel rooms vary from smaller, simpler single rooms to larger apartment rooms with a kitchenette, sofa and TV area, and a double bed in the loft. All rooms have a private bathroom, and the hotel features a larger communal kitchen with access to a washing machine. Please note that the hotel unfortunately does not have an elevator.

The hotel is open year-round, with the reception staffed in the afternoon during the summer.

For the rest of the year, the hotel is serviced by Hotel Ole Tobias, which is a short walk away.

It is a short distance to the city’s train and bus station, and the hotel offers free guest parking in the backyard.

  • Follow the Norwegian Mountain Code (Fjellvettreglene). Plan your excursion according to the weather forecast, your skills and experience.
  • Join a guided excursion or consider hiring an experienced guide, especially when you don’t have sufficient experience or knowledge to guarantee a safe trip.
