The Ski bus to the slopes in Hemavan
From January 25 to May 3, a ski bus runs between Hemavan and the towns of Mo i Rana, Mosjøen, and Sandnessjøen. It’s the perfect way to combine your Helgeland trip with a day on the slopes!
Hemavan Alpint, a large and family-friendly ski resort, is just a 45-minute drive across the Swedish border. A ski day here is a popular getaway for locals from Helgeland. With the ski bus, you can head to Hemavan in the morning and return in the evening—ideal whether you’re vacationing in Helgeland or visiting from Sweden.
Departure schedule and tickets
The bus runs from Sandnessjøen to Hemavan via Mo i Rana on odd-numbered weeks and from Mosjøen to Hemavan via Mo i Rana on even-numbered weeks:
Weeks 4, 6, 8, etc.: Sandnessjøen – Mo i Rana – Hemavan
Weeks 5, 7, 9, etc.: Mosjøen – Mo i Rana – Hemavan
The bus fare includes a day pass for the ski resort and a return ticket in the afternoon.
