Hatten is shaped like a headdress and is known in Sami as Aarpije, “the widow who stands alone”. The view from the top of Hatten on a fine day is spectacular. There is a local saying that you can see seven parishes from the summit. It takes about 90 minutes to hike to the summit and you can follow a marked trail the whole way. This hike is suitable for the whole family.
Hatten – a popular summit climb
Mount Hatten, which towers above the beautiful landscape east of the municipal administrative centre of Hattfjelldal, rises 1128 m above sea level and is a beautiful sight.
